Alabama has been in the national news lately because of a series of very strict immigration laws that have caused the immigrant population in the state to stop showing up for work and place many of the state's construction projects in jeopardy. One of the major construction groups in the state said that employees of Hispanic origin had not shown up for work since the laws went into effect. Groups in other states are watching the events in Alabama closely as it would seem that the hostility in that state could eventually impact Colorado construction attorneys who might soon have to deal with the same type of laws.
