How Personality Tests Work

Most people are familiar with various personality tests and generally speaking they are conducted so that the person being analyzed will answer a series of questions and when those answers are put together a personality profile can be created. For example, for the Myers-Briggs personality test is designed to predict how people would act in a group and whether they have traits such as leadership or not. A personality test often tells a person a lot of what they already know about their own personality, but it might reveal some traits that were as of yet unknown to the subject.
