Children have been attending camp for decades while young and one particular camp has been designed to help children who might be suffering through the loss of a loved one to deal with that missing person in their life. The interesting thing about all of the children at the sleep away camp is that they have no other facets of life in common beyond the fact that they have all lost someone who is close to them. The age range of the children is quite wide from five to eighteen but this age difference doesn't seem to matter.

One of the members of the band Pearl Jam, guitarist Mike McCready, is auctioning off a Gibson Flying V guitar to benefit a charity and is hoping the uniquely colored instrument will inspire someone to learn how to play guitar or will go to a big fan of the band. Not only is the guitar specially designed and signed by Mike, but the rest of the band will have signed it as well for the lucky winner of the auction. The charity to be benefited by the auction will be the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

Although its roots are in the United States, hip hop is a genre of music that spread across the world in the 1980s with some significant hip hop talent coming out of countries like Haiti and the Dominican Republic and even Jamaica by the 1990s. While the genre moved into mainstream music much sooner in the United States, hip hop samples and their resulting mega hits also emerged in the United Kingdom where a different take on the genre became popular.  Hip hop music in Brazil has become an interesting genre since songs in that country have often been about the volatile political issues of the day.
